Delete Your Swolly Account

You can permanently delete your Swolly account and its associated data at any time. There are two ways to do it, and both result in the same permanent deletion.

Option 1 — Delete in the app (fastest)

Open Swolly and sign in
Go to More → Privacy & Data
Under Your Data, tap Delete my account
Confirm your identity when prompted, then confirm the deletion

Deletion begins immediately and normally finishes within a few minutes.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you can no longer access the app or have already uninstalled it, email support@swolly.io from the email address on your Swolly account, with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".

We will verify that the request comes from the account owner and complete the deletion within 30 days. You do not need to reinstall the app.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

Account & profile	Your login credentials, email address, display name, profile photo, date of birth, and all private account data
Health & fitness data	Workouts, workout plans and schedules, custom exercises, GPS runs and routes, and any health data synced from Apple Health or Health Connect
Nutrition data	Calorie and food entries, saved foods, recipes, meal plans, and nutrition goals
Competition & social data	Your competition memberships, activity posts, comments, chat messages, and scores. Competitions you created are deleted in full, including other participants' content within them.
Photos & files	Every image you uploaded — profile photos, post photos, competition covers, run photos, and recipe images
Other	Tasks and reminders, notification tokens, and subscription records held by Swolly

This cannot be undone. Once deletion completes, your data cannot be recovered, and signing up again with the same email creates a brand-new empty account. If you want a copy of your data, export it first: More → Privacy & Data → Download my data.

What is not deleted, and why

Your subscription. Swolly Pro is billed by Apple or Google, not by us, so deleting your Swolly account does not cancel it. Cancel through your Apple subscription settings or Google Play subscription settings to stop future charges.
Limited records we must keep. Where the law requires it, we may retain a minimal record of the deletion itself (for example, that an account with a given identifier was deleted, and when) and any moderation or safety records needed to meet our legal obligations. These are kept no longer than required and are never used to rebuild your profile.
Backups. Residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for a short period before being overwritten on the normal backup cycle.

Deleting only some of your data

If you want to remove specific content rather than your whole account, you can delete individual posts, comments, recipes, runs, and competitions directly in the app without deleting your account.

Inactive accounts

Separately from any request you make, accounts inactive for 24 months may be deleted after we email a warning to the address on file and allow a 30-day grace period. Signing in at any point resets that timer. See our Privacy Policy for details.
